Education for nurses by nurses

 The Challenge

From funding cuts and staffing crises to the devastating impact of COVID-19, pressure on NHS nurses is well documented and has resulted in a lack of access to ongoing training and development. There was no standardised medical training RA despite the increasing complexity and choices in treatment and management.

 The Solution

The ORA education platform was designed with interactive patient case studies central to illustrate the challenges and opportunities in tailoring treatment. In addition, it combines a variety of content – educational articles on key patient profiles, explanations on new guidance, and a CPD-accredited module. The information is presented in interactive bite-sized chunks with learning progress signals. ORA was highlighted and discussed on ‘Medscape’ and ‘Doctors.net.uk’.

 The Results

This medical education platform was especially helpful during the COVID-19 pandemic when HCPs were redeployed. The CPD-accredited learning module was used as training for upskilling and revalidating specialist RA Nurses.
